Terms of sale and use

These terms apply when you download, try or buy an app from Mintmark. Mintmark is run by Ameen (“we”, “us”). By downloading or buying an app you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use an app, not the app’s code or any rights in it. A licence is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and nothing is charged again unless you choose to renew.

  • It does not expire. Once activated, the versions your licence covers keep working for as long as you want to use them.
  • Updates. A licence covers every version of that app released during its update period, which starts on the day you buy. The length of the period (usually 12 months) is shown on the app’s page before you pay.
  • Renewal is optional. When the update period ends you can pay a smaller renewal fee for another period of updates, or keep using the last version you received at no further cost.
  • Number of PCs. Each app’s page states how many PCs one licence can be active on at the same time. You can move a licence to a different PC by deactivating it on the old one, in the app or on your licence page.

2. Trials

Most apps can be used free for a trial period with every feature available, without a key and without payment details. When the trial ends, the app tells you what needs a licence. Some apps keep a few features free; others, such as Uplink, stop working until a licence key is entered. Each app’s page says which. Nothing the app has saved on your PC is deleted when a trial ends.

3. Your licence key

After payment is confirmed we email a licence key to the address you gave. Please check the address carefully before paying, and keep the email. We store only a fingerprint of the key, so we cannot read it back to you, but we can issue a replacement if you write to us from the address you bought with.

A key is for your own use. You may not sell, publish or share it. We may cancel a key that has been published or is being used on more PCs than it allows.

4. How licence checks work

An activated app confirms its licence with our server from time to time. It keeps working without reaching our server for a period shown in the app (normally 30 days), so a short outage on our side or a spell without internet does not interrupt you. After that period it needs to connect once before its licensed features carry on.

5. Payment

Prices are in Indian rupees and are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.

6. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our refund policy. When an order is refunded, the licence that came with it is cancelled.

7. What you may not do

  • Remove or get around the licence check, or help anyone else to.
  • Resell, rent or redistribute an app or a key.
  • Use an app to break the law or to harm someone else’s computer, network or data.

8. The apps are provided as they are

We work to make each app do what its page says, and we fix faults we are told about. Beyond that, the apps are provided “as is”, without a promise that they are free of faults or fit for a particular purpose. Please keep your own backups of anything important.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about an app is limited to the amount you paid for it.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. A change never takes away a licence you have already bought.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Delhi.
