Privacy policy
This page says exactly what Mintmark (run by Ameen) learns about you, on this website and through the apps, and what it does with it. The short version: as little as possible, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.
If you only browse or download a trial
- We do not ask who you are. There is no account to create.
- This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- It sets one cookie by itself, a session cookie, which keeps forms working and keeps you signed in to your licence page. It holds a random number, not information about you, and is removed when you close your browser.
- If you switch between the light and dark look, or between rupee and dollar prices, that choice is remembered in a cookie of its own so the site stays the way you set it. Which prices you see at first is worked out in your browser from your device’s time zone; the time zone is not sent to us.
- Like every web server, ours records each request in a log: the time, the page, your IP address and your browser type. We use these logs only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, and they are deleted after 30 days.
If you buy a licence
We keep:
- Your email address, and your name if you chose to give it, so we can send your licence key and answer you.
- The order: which app, the amount, the date, and Razorpay’s reference numbers for the payment.
- A fingerprint of your licence key (a one-way hash) and its last five characters. The key itself is not stored.
We do not receive or store your card number, UPI ID, bank details or billing address. You enter those on Razorpay’s form, and Razorpay handles them under its own privacy policy. Razorpay may ask you for a phone number; that goes to Razorpay, not to us.
What an app sends us
An app contacts our server only to activate a licence, to confirm it from time to time, and to check for a newer version. When it does, it sends:
- A hashed machine ID. A one-way fingerprint that lets us count how many PCs a licence is active on. It cannot be turned back into anything that identifies your PC, and it is different for each app, so two apps cannot be linked to the same PC by it.
- Your PC’s name (for example “OFFICE-LAPTOP”), so you can recognise your own PCs on your licence page.
- The app’s version number.
That is all. Apps do not send us your files, what you do in them, the measurements they take, or anything else about your PC. An app that is in its free trial sends only its version number, when it checks for an update.
We email you your licence key, a receipt of a renewal or refund, and replies to messages you send us. We do not send marketing email. Emails are delivered through a mail service acting on our behalf.
Who we share it with
- Razorpay, to take your payment.
- Our hosting and email providers, who store or carry the data for us and may not use it for anything else.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order and licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists, because the licence does not expire, and for as long as tax law requires us to keep sales records. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
Your choices
- You can see your licence and the PCs it is active on, and deactivate any of them, on your licence page.
- You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Deleting it also cancels the licence, because we could no longer tell it was yours. Sales records we are legally required to keep are kept.
